WHY USE OUR MIGRATION LEGAL SERVICES?

We have over 20 years of migration law experience from making Visa, Citizenship and Ministerial applications to advising and representing individuals and commercial clients from all over the globe with refusals and cancellations.  Corsers Lawyers can assist with all your Migration Law enquiries and additionally represent you or your business to respond to notifications to cancel, requests for futher information and or appeals to the Administrative Review Tribunal (ART), Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia (FCFCOA), the Federal Court of Australia (FCA) and even the High Court of Australia (HCA) if required.

In our experience, many clients are not aware that Immigration Lawyers actually also assist with making visa and citizenship applications and are surprised that our fees are very competative compared with Migration Agents.  In our view, getting the right advice early in the application process is very important and eventhough you may have a straight forward case it is in your interest to seek specialist migration advice.  We have sucessfuly assisted many clients avoid costly simple mistakes on their application, to complex section 501 character cancellations.

You should use our migration legal services to get expert guidance on complex immigration law, ensuring your application complies with the latest regulations, and navigate a stressful and lengthy process, which can lead to a successful outcome. Legal professionals are bound by confidentiality and privilege, protecting your information and offering tailored advice for your budget and circumstances. We can represent you in appeals against visa refusals or cancellations and provide valuable support throughout your migration journey. We are seeing a trend of applications being refused due to mistakes made in their initial applications due to incorrect and or misleading advice.   Simple mistakes that could have been avoided, had they got the right advice to begin with.

IF USING A LAWYER OR A MIGRATION AGENT

If you are going to use a lawyer, then it would be prudent for you to check that the firm or practitioner is registered with a state or territory legal professional body and that they specialise in immigration law.   From time to time, we have had clients advise us that they had been misled as to the credentials of a firm or agency.

Corsers lawyers’ practitioners are listed on the South Australian Law Society’s Register.

WHAT HAPPENS IF YOUR VISA IS REFUSED?

Should you have a Visa or Citizenship application refused or cancelled by the Department of Home Affairs (the Department) (formally known as the Department of Immigration and Border Protection), Corsers can assist either you or your sponsor/employer with an Appeal to the Administrative Review Tribunal (ART), who are independent from the Department to review your Visa refusal decision. We will guide and assist you or your sponsor/employer to prepare a thorough application, submissions and represent you through out the appeal process.

We will carefully review the decision for your refusal and determine if there are merits, address any concerns and issues before either resubmitting your application (if possible), or to make an appeal application.

If you have a decision from the Tribunal that you are not satisfied with, then we can assist you with an application to the Courts or to the Minister to intervene, also known as a REQUEST FOR MINISTERIAL INTERVENTION, depending on the decision and your circumstances.

Corsers will guide you through the requirements and options in a timely manner. We will keep you informed and provide you with clear guidance, realistic expectations so you can make an informed decision.
